“Our first inductee you all know. I first met him as a result of my participation in Leadership Charlotte in 2008 and then got to know him better working with him on various Boards. He has a big heart for many organizations and has helped out many non-profits over the years. However, the biggest spot in is heart, other than for his wife, kids, and dogs, is for the Homeless. He has worked tirelessly for the Charlotte County Homeless Coalition where he took the lead in helping it reach one of its dreams, to have a 52 bed shelter.

He also founded the Coalition’s Foundation to help raise funds for the Coalition and, in so doing, created the premier event in Charlotte County each year, the Mistletoe Ball.

However, with all of these accomplishments, his greatest impact may be a result of the creation of Community Services Day for the Leadership Charlotte Program which now introduces each class to the non-profits in our community and the services provided to meet the needs. The unique awareness provided by this day, will continue to have an impact for future generations of Leadership Classes for years to come.

Now, It is my honor and pleasure to introduce to you, the fourth inductee into the Leadership Charlotte Hall of Fame, from the Class of 1998, the owner of Koch & Company CPAs, Mr. Rex Koch.”
